Based on the fabled SPI armor of previous Spartan generations, MIRAGE IIC provides a sleek and stalwart solution to any danger the galaxy throws at you. updated When you arent shooting, punching, and warthogging around in Halo Infinite multiplayer matches, youll have the opportunity to customize your spartan via a variety of. The core system needs changes, and new additions like this demonstrating exactly why that is are not helping.įollow me on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. With roots that extend to the jungles of Onyx, MIRAGE IIC comes to Halo Infinite as one of two free Armor Cores for all players in Season 3. Creating a $20 set that requires a $10 purchase before that is just going to decrease net sales and depress your playerbase. This current system isn’t helping anyone. But attachments and other aspects could take much longer to sort through. To alter that significantly would take a lot of work, though an interim fix could be simply allow more helmets to be used with more cores, if that doesn’t create some sort of unforeseen issue. Things like challenges and playlists have been fixed relatively quickly, but this armor core system is baked into the design of every armor set in the game, past, present and future. To me, this is one of Halo’s longer term challenges as a free-to-play offering now. The system is a confusing mess, and I can easily see a market that has players confused about the looks they can actually assemble, given all the restrictions in place. Even coatings are exclusive to specific cores, which literally makes zero sense. Same with attachments or pieces of flair like the swords. Helmets that should easily work on other sets, don’t. I can see that being the case to prevent some design issues, and yet it still feels far, far too restrictive. Presumably this “core” idea was birthed as part monetization, part problem solving for making it so that all attachments and helmets don’t work with all armor sets. ![]()
